Inference Angels is a collection of 7,777 pixel-art angels on Robinhood Chain. Each angel sits behind a puzzle. Solve the puzzle and you may claim that angel. Claiming is free. You pay the small network fee and nothing else.
The puzzles are reasoning work. Each one gives you a set of exact instructions. You must read them closely, work out what they ask for, write a small program, and get every detail right. This is the kind of job an AI model does well and a person finds slow.
Most people will solve these with an AI model. You pick which one. The puzzle does not know which model you used, and it does not care.
Nothing you have to download from us. There is no required model, no required program, and no required hardware.
You need a wallet with a little gas on Robinhood Chain, and a way to compute a SHA-256 hash. Every computer can do that already.
This is the whole equipment list. Earlier drafts of this project required one exact model file, run one exact way. That requirement is gone. Section V explains why it could be removed.
No two angels hold the same job. Every puzzle is drawn from one of nine kinds, and each kind asks for something different.

Every puzzle is found somewhere. Cut into a lintel. On the back of a pilgrim badge. Chalked on the wall behind the organ, where nobody sweeps.
Relic is worth a note. The contract draws each angel itself, so every square of every picture is a public fact. When a puzzle sends you to read row 12, column 7 of angel No. 4,113, it is sending you to the object itself. That cannot go missing and nobody can change it.
A common angel holds one puzzle. A rare one holds up to four, and they are called trials. Each trial is a different kind of work, so a single angel might ask you to break a cipher, then solve a grid, then read a picture.
The trials are sealed. Only the first one can be read. Every trial after it is locked, and the key is the answer to the trial before it. Work out trial one and trial two opens. Until then it is a block of characters that means nothing.
Three things follow from that, and all three are on purpose:
Trials by band: one below band 20, two to band 40, three to band 60, four above it. The last Seraph, No. 7,777, holds four.
Some trials end with a turn. What you worked out is not the answer. It is the key, and it opens a sealed line holding the four words that are.
Every answer in this mine is a fact of arithmetic. The SHA-256 of a piece of text is the same number on every computer that has ever been built. It does not drift between an Apple laptop and a Linux server. It does not change between one AI model and another. It has no opinion.
That one choice removes every requirement.
So there is no approved model list, no approved program, and no approved hardware. Bring what you have.
Every puzzle ends in one exact answer, and a hash of that answer sits on the blockchain. So there is one obvious question to ask about any puzzle: how many answers could there be? If the set is small, somebody tries all of them against the hash and never reads the puzzle at all.
That question was asked of all nine kinds, and four of them failed it. A grid of five angels and five objects has only 120 arrangements. A word taken from a 6,000 word list has only 6,000. Those puzzles were decoration.
They were rebuilt. In those four kinds the thing you work out is no longer the answer. It is the key, and it opens a sealed line holding four ordinary words. The set of possible answers went from 120 to roughly 1,300,000,000,000,000.
Every kind now sits above that mark. There is no way in except through the puzzle.
The trials add to this. Four sealed trials cannot be attacked at once, because the second cannot be read until the first is answered. Buying a hundred machines makes each trial faster. It does not make the chain shorter.
The 7,777 angels stand in nine choirs, following the traditional Catholic ordering of the angelic hierarchy. Rarity climbs with the number. Only twelve Seraphim exist, and No. 7777 is the last of them.

The wall keeps its 77 bands of 101 angels. A band sets the difficulty. Low bands hold a single puzzle that takes minutes. The middle holds two or three trials. The top bands hold four, with longer chains, longer ciphers, and larger grids.
The art is 32×32 pixel work that lives entirely on the blockchain. Two contracts hold every sprite, colour, and trait rule, and they draw each angel on demand. No outside server hosts anything, so the art can never go missing. Every angel carries a verse from the Douay-Rheims Bible in its description. No two angels are the same, and a check across all 7,777 proves it.
The whole wall is open from the first day. Every puzzle is published at the start, and every angel's picture is already visible in the Codex. Nothing is locked and nothing waits its turn.
Claim No. 89 because you like its colours. Claim No. 777 for the number. Go straight at the last Seraph if you have the patience for it. Each angel can be claimed once.
333 angels are the genesis set, which the creator keeps at launch. They are spread evenly, about 4.3% of every choir, at regular numbers: Angels 90, Archangels 67, Principalities 62, Powers 52, Virtues 43, Dominions 14, Thrones 3, Cherubim 1, Seraphim 1. The one genesis Seraph is No. 7,766, the first of the twelve. The last Seraph, No. 7,777, is not held back. The crown must be earned. The other 7,444 angels can enter the world only through a solved puzzle.
Four things you should know before you trust this project.
The collection lives on Robinhood Chain, which works like Ethereum. Claiming is free and you pay only the network fee.
The contract enforces three things and nothing more. Each angel can be claimed once. Claims use a two-step seal. The art lives on-chain.
The two-step seal matters. First you submit a sealed copy of your answer, tied to your wallet. After a short wait you open it. Nobody watching the network can take your answer while it is in flight.
All 7,777 puzzles are published at once, so every miner sees the same wall. Contract addresses will be printed on this site at launch.
